P3
A) PERSONAL SKILL ANALYSIS
WRITTEN COMMUNICATION:
My written communication skills whilst working in a media production team are of a good standard as in my previous productions I have regularly addressed the pros and cons of the specific production and how we can improve upon it post-production.VERBAL COMMUNICATION:
My verbal communication skills whilst working in a media production team are also of a good standard as I typically lead the team verbally by assigning work and roles to people whilst making sure deadlines are hit.PRACTICAL PRODUCTION:
My practical production skills whilst working in a media production team are of a high standard as I have previous experience in many media related applications as such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Unity and Premiere Pro. All these skills allow me to produce and design my side of the project to the best of my ability.CREATIVITY:
My creativity skills whilst working in a media production team are of a OK standard as I can come up with unique ideas for multiple types of media productions whilst being able to create rough drafts using what ever means necessary.WHAT CAN BE BETTER?:
In terms of my creativity skills, I could definitely work on creating a better structure for the development of ideas for projects as I tend to rush into one idea I like before considering or brainstorming other options. Additionally, in terms of my production skills, I could be more strict with hitting deadlines on time whilst in a production team as falling behind can cause the final product to be a rushed mess.
B) SPECIALISED SKILL ANALYSIS
WHAT CAN I DO TO IMPROVE?:
To get to my required level at coding I could work on miniature projects in my spare time to learn about different tricks and memory-saving tactics to make improve and clean-up my overall code in the final game. Additionally, I could watch tutorials and browse forums in my free time to see if there's better ways of doing what I've already done.To get to my required level of graphic design and animation I could also work on smaller projects to learn small tactics about the craft but the main way to improve is to keep re-drawing the same characters but in different ways to get the hang of programs like Illustrator and Photoshop whilst messing around with key frames with character being in different positions to further understand how to get smoother animations.
To get to my required level of sound design I could find royalty free beats of the internet and try mixing and experimenting with them to find out different ways of manipulating sound for the final game.
